Arcadia: The Wyld Hunt is White Wolf's Changeling: The Dreaming tie-in CCG, set in the fae-mythology half of the World of Darkness where humans descended from fae souls fight a slow war against Banality, the force that drains wonder from the world.

The game

Released in 1996 by White Wolf Publishing, Arcadia CCG is a two-player narrative duel where each player runs a Changeling Motley (Sidhe, Pooka, Redcap, Troll, Sluagh, Boggan) chasing down Chimerical story threads and contesting Glamour against each other. Victory is scored through Legend points rather than damage, which makes the tone more fable than battle.

The context

White Wolf's Changeling: The Dreaming RPG had a small but fiercely loyal audience, and the CCG was designed as a way to extend the line without requiring a Storyteller group. Art leaned hard into the painted-illustration style of Rebecca Guay, Tony DiTerlizzi and Heather McKinney, much of which appears nowhere else.

The collector angle

Arcadia: The Wyld Hunt base set and the King Ironheart's Madness expansion are the only released English product. A planned third wave was cancelled during White Wolf's late-90s refocus. Rebecca Guay-illustrated rares are the primary chase and cross over with the broader Magic the Gathering art-collector market because her style is recognisable across both games. The Nunnehi American-fae cards are a small and historically interesting subset that fans of indigenous-myth representation in gaming specifically hunt down.
