Behind TCG

Behind TCG is an independent original-IP TCG with a distinctive hidden-information gameplay mechanic, where card abilities are revealed progressively through the course of a match rather than fully known at game start.

The game

Released in the 2010s, Behind TCG is a two-player duel where each player builds a deck of hidden-face cards that reveal their powers only when triggered by opponent play or specific in-game conditions. Mechanics emphasise information warfare and progressive revelation rather than board-state optimization.

The context

The hidden-information game-design philosophy has a long history in tabletop gaming (Stratego, Mystery Rummy, the One Night Ultimate Werewolf variants) but is relatively rare in CCG format. Behind TCG applies that philosophy specifically to the TCG format, producing a distinctive play experience.

The collector angle

Limited independent-publisher distribution makes the game scarce today. The face-down hidden-information format creates unusual collector dynamics where cards are often stored face-down and authenticated through back-only visual inspection. Foil hidden-information rares are the primary collector items.
