Dreadnought TCG is a small-studio naval-combat CCG exploring battleship-era warfare at the dawn of the 20th century, when dreadnought-class battleships defined great-power naval rivalry.
The game
Released by an independent publisher, Dreadnought TCG is a two-player naval-combat duel where each player builds a fleet of early-20th-century warships (dreadnoughts, battlecruisers, destroyers, submarines) and fights across sea-theatre location cards. Mechanics emphasise turn-of-century naval tactics (gunnery duels, torpedo runs, fleet formation).
The context
Naval wargaming has a long history through Avalon Hill and successor publishers, and Dreadnought TCG brought that historical-combat aesthetic into the CCG format. The independent-publisher roots meant modest distribution primarily through direct-to-consumer and small-hobby-store channels.
The collector angle
Limited print-run cards are scarce today. Flagship battleship-rare cards (HMS Dreadnought, SMS Bayern, USS Texas, IJN Yamato era) are the primary collector items, cross-selling to naval-history enthusiasts who are not necessarily CCG players. The cards appeal more to naval-history collectors than to active CCG players.
