Huntik TCG

Huntik TCG adapts the Rainbow S.p.A. animated series Huntik: Secrets and Seekers, a 2009-2012 supernatural-artifact-hunting adventure co-produced with the same studio behind Winx Club.

The game

Released in 2008 by Upper Deck, Huntik TCG is a two-player duel where each player builds a Seeker team (Lok Lambert, Sophie Casterwill, Dante Vale, Zhalia Moon) and battles with summoned Titans drawn from the show's mythology-inspired creature roster. The Amulet mechanic lets Seekers bond with Titan cards to invoke them into play, reflecting the show's central summoning system.

The context

Rainbow S.p.A. had followed Winx Club with Huntik aimed at a slightly older, more action-oriented kid audience. Upper Deck's TCG launch coincided with the first-season broadcast on Kids' WB and Cartoon Network Europe, with card art pulled from official show production materials.

The collector angle

Only a small number of sets shipped under Upper Deck before the license arrangement wound down. Foil Titan cards are the signature collector pulls, particularly the Legendary Titans from the show's mythology arcs (Overlos, the Seven Seekers titans). Italian Rainbow-distributed prints are a parallel pool and cross-collected by European Huntik fans who also watched the original Italian show version.
