Lego: Legends of Chima

Lego Legends of Chima TCG is Blue Ocean's trading-card game for the Legends of Chima animated series (2013-2014), the original-IP animal-tribes Lego property that sat between Ninjago and Nexo Knights in the original-IP rotation.

The game

Released in 2013 by Blue Ocean Entertainment, Lego Legends of Chima TCG is a two-player duel where each player builds a tribal animal team (Lion, Eagle, Gorilla, Wolf, Crocodile, Raven, Rhino, Scorpion) and battles with Chi-powered attacks. The Chi mechanic mirrors the show's central magical power source, with Chi crystal cards fuelling tribal abilities.

The context

Legends of Chima aired on Cartoon Network for two seasons and sold a full Lego toy line during that window. The Blue Ocean TCG was released simultaneously with the toys and Cartoon Network broadcast, primarily for European mass-retail distribution.

The collector angle

Several waves shipped across 2013-2014. Foil tribal-leader cards (Laval, Eris, Cragger, Worriz, Rogon) are the iconic chase pulls. Because Chima wound down after two years of Lego support, the TCG is a specific-era Lego artefact that appeals to Lego completionist collectors cataloguing every original-IP product line.
