The Terminator CCG runs on the Terminator 2 era of the franchise, when the Skynet war was still a fresh cinematic concept rather than a recycled streaming property, and every card is stamped with that specific 1995-1996 industrial-apocalypse aesthetic.

The game

Released in 1996 by Precedence Publishing, The Terminator CCG is a two-player asymmetric duel where one player runs the Skynet forces (HKs, T-800s, T-1000s) against another running the Resistance (John Connor, Kyle Reese, survivor squads). The game uses a timeline-alteration mechanic where successful missions can rewrite the opponent's played cards, modelling the temporal-paradox tone of the films.

The context

It arrived during a dense Terminator licensing window (T2 3-D: Battle Across Time ride, the Dark Horse comics, the Bethesda video game), and Precedence positioned it as a sibling product to their Babylon 5 and Tomb Raider lines. The card art leans on film-still photography and high-contrast Skynet-future illustration.

The collector angle

The base set and the Judgment Day expansion are the English runs. The rare T-1000 character cards are the visible chase, plus a foil Sarah Connor promo from the 1996 GenCon and a very limited Arnold Schwarzenegger autograph card that was given to the Precedence sales team. Because Precedence folded without a full third expansion, the planned Resistance: New Mexico wave survives only as playtest sheets in employee collections and trades at collector-grade prices.
