Winx Club CCG adapts Iginio Straffi's Italian animated fairy-school franchise during the 4Kids English-dub era, when the Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha lineup was a marquee property on 4Kids TV in the US and on Rai Gulp in Europe.

The game

Released in 2005 by Upper Deck, Winx Club CCG is a two-player magical-duel game where each player builds a Fairy team and faces opposing witches or dark-force threats. The Transformation mechanic lets Fairies power up into Charmix, Enchantix and later Believix forms, mirroring the show's signature power-up sequences. Magic Points drive attack and defense resolution.

The context

Winx Club was a crossover phenomenon in the European market and had a dedicated US audience through 4Kids broadcasting. Upper Deck positioned the CCG as a girl-audience counterpart to their more boy-skewed lines. Rainbow S.p.A. provided direct approval on card art, which is pulled from official show models.

The collector angle

A small number of English waves shipped, including a Believix-transformation wave that aligned with the show's fourth season. The Bloom Enchantix foil card is the signature pull, and the six fairy-of-the-main-cast foil rares are collected as a complete set by fans. Italian-language original prints from Rainbow's direct distribution in Italy are smaller, earlier runs and are cross-collected by European fans alongside the Upper Deck localisation.
