AGE: The Amazing Goal Era is an Italian collectible card game published by RCS MediaGroup (specifically RCS Quotidiani) in February 2009. The game applies CCG mechanics to fantasy football, replacing real-world athletes with fantastical creatures: players build eleven-card rosters from elves, orcs, minotaurs, and other fantasy beings and stage simulated soccer matches. Decks consist of ten field players and one goalkeeper, and matches are resolved through card play rather than dice. The game won the Best Collectible Card and Miniatures Game award at Lucca Comics and Games 2009, one of Italy's most prominent hobby gaming conventions. A second series called Battaglie del Tempo (Battles of Time) was presented at the same convention. AGE was an ambitious attempt to combine the Italian passion for calcio with the CCG format. The game did not achieve lasting distribution and is now out of print.
