Battle Link - Evangelion

Battle Link: Evangelion is a two-player competitive collectible card game published by Fields in Japan, released on February 23, 2018. The game was based on the Rebuild of Evangelion theatrical film series and allowed players to recreate five Mission cards depicting scenes from the first three Rebuild films. Each player used a deck of 48 cards total: a main deck of 40 cards, an Impact deck of 3 cards, and a Mission deck of 5 cards. Victory went to the player who resolved all five missions first. The starter box was priced at 1,500 yen (excluding tax), with booster packs at 330 yen (excluding tax). Fields announced that game support would end on December 26, 2018, making the active lifespan of the product less than one year. Card sleeve accessories featuring characters such as Rei Ayanami were also produced. The game's short run and Japan-only release have limited its documentation outside specialist collector communities.
