Brave Saga is a Japanese collectible card game published by Takara in April 1999, drawing on the Brave Series of super robot anime that ran annually from 1990 to 1998 on TV Asahi. The Brave Series was itself a Takara and Sunrise co-production spanning titles such as Exkaiser, GaoGaiGar, and Dagwon. The card game was released in close proximity to Takara's tactics-RPG Brave Saga: New Century Robot Chronicles for PlayStation, which debuted in December 1998 as a crossover of the same franchise catalog. Cards in this game used the Carddass-style format common to Takara releases of the period. Beyond its place in the broader Brave Series merchandise ecosystem, detailed rules, set lists, and card counts for this specific card product have not been widely documented outside Japan, which is precisely why it belongs in this archive.
