Cazaurio CCG

Cazaurio is a Chilean collectible card game published by Salo S.A. and released in 2007. The game is set in a dystopian near-future in which catastrophic global warming melts ancient glaciers, releasing prehistoric life forms and enabling the resurrection of dinosaurs. Human factions called Cazaurios (hunters) must capture four dinosaurs to win. Salo released multiple expansion sets during the game's run: the original Crisis edition was followed by Depredadores, which launched August 22, 2007 and contained 130 cards (30 dinosaurs, 25 premium, 75 commons in five-card boosters), and Contrataque, which released June 9, 2007 and emphasized increasingly powerful dinosaur variants. A final Virus expansion explored humanity's attempts to eradicate the dinosaurs through biological means. The game maintained a loyal following in Chile, and in 2021 fan developers digitized all editions into a Steam Workshop mod to preserve and revive the experience. Collector communities in Chile remain active.
