Dynofighters: The Prehistoric Army was an Italian multimedia property released in February 2008 and produced by Mollusco & Balena and New Links, distributed through Italian newsstands. The line was explicitly designed to compete with the enormously successful Gormiti toy-and-card franchise. It consisted of approximately fifteen soft-plastic dinosaur-themed figures at 2.5-inch scale, organised into five regional tribes: People of the Sea, Grasslands, Sun, Mountains, and Forest, with three characters per group. The CCG component comprised approximately 120 cards and was supported by an official website at dynofighters.it promoting interaction with the figure line. Ancillary merchandise included temporary tattoos, water guns, a guide book, and costumes. The card game component followed the same creature-battle structure popular in the era's collectible toy lines but left minimal archival traces beyond the initial promotional coverage and a handful of collector forum posts.
