Heros Dei (God Hero) is a French collectible card game published by Multisim in December 2003. The game is built around the theme of world mythologies, drawing on the lore of multiple ancient cultures: by mid-2005 three civilizations had been released, covering the Celts, the Greeks, and the Vikings. A notable design philosophy distinguishes Heros Dei from most CCGs of its era: no card in the game is classified as rare, and once a mythology expansion pack is released, no additional cards from that mythology will be printed, meaning the contents of any given set are fully known in advance. This transparency was intended to make the game more accessible and budget-friendly. The game features five levels of progressive rules, ranging from a beginner introduction to advanced strategic play. Interactions between heroes, gods, monsters, and objects were developed in consultation with cultural advisors, with the design noted as having received support from a British cultural department.
