High School of Blitz is a Japanese collectible card game published by Media Works in 1998, complementing a PlayStation video game adaptation of the same name released in late 1999. The game is set in a contemporary high school that is populated by mythical creatures and fantastical entities rather than ordinary students, with the player taking the role of a teacher who challenges rival schools to card-game duels. The physical card game features artwork contributed by more than forty illustrators, and the PlayStation adaptation incorporated over 170 unique card designs. The franchise sits at the intersection of the bishoujo and fantasy CCG subgenres that were popular in Japan during the late 1990s, and Media Works, best known as an anime and light-novel publisher, used the card game to extend the property beyond its printed media origins. Information about the standalone physical card game's specific release structure and card count is scarce outside of Japanese collector communities.
