Kaosz Galaktika Kartyajatek, meaning Chaos Galactica Card Game, is a Hungarian collectible card game published by Beholder Kft. and released in 2003. The game is set in a distant future anarchic galactic empire where seven major races face both internal conflict and an invasion by an aggressive alien species called the Zargos. Players take the roles of colony leaders and fleet commanders competing to conquer uninhabited planets by deploying starships in combat. Decks consist of 45 cards, and gameplay draws clear inspiration from Magic: The Gathering's foundational structures while introducing its own mechanics. Starships carry four parameters: speed, firepower, armor, and bombing capability, and can be equipped with weapons and crew cards placed face-down to create tactical uncertainty. Key location types include bases, hangars, canteens, and command centers, each serving distinct strategic functions. The designers explicitly aimed to minimize the role of chance compared to other CCGs. The game grew from Beholder Kft.'s own play-by-email role-playing game of the same name, which gave it a pre-existing fiction and community to draw from.
