The Kid Icarus: Uprising Trading Card Game is a collectible card set published by Panini UK Ltd in July 2012, licensed from Nintendo to accompany the Nintendo 3DS action game Kid Icarus: Uprising. Each card in the set doubles as an augmented reality card compatible with the 3DS game's AR battle mode, giving the physical cards in-game functionality alongside their collectible value. The full set comprises 404 cards spanning characters and scenes from the game, including protagonist Pit, goddess Palutena, and the forces of Medusa's Underworld Army. Cards were divided by rarity, with silver-winged symbol cards denoting uncommon, gold denoting rare, and diamond denoting ultra-rare. A UK starter pack containing a binder and three card packs retailed for £5.99, with individual booster packs at £1.50. On launch day alone, 12,000 packs sold out on the Club Nintendo website. Promotional packs were distributed with Official Nintendo Magazine and Games Master in April 2012. The game was not distributed widely in North America despite player interest.
