Miracle Battle Carddas is a collectible card series published by Bandai as part of its long-running Carddas vending-machine card line, launching in December 2009 with sets based on One Piece and Dragon Ball. The game debuted publicly at the V Jump Card Festa events in Osaka on August 21, 2009 and Tokyo on August 29, 2009. It expanded steadily through major Shueisha properties: Toriko was added in March 2011, Hunter x Hunter in March 2012, Naruto Shippuden in April 2012, Bleach and Gintama in December 2013, and Kuroko's Basketball in June 2014. Cards feature full-art illustrations of characters from each franchise styled in a consistent visual format across all licenses. The Carddas format, which distributes cards through coin-operated machines at retail locations throughout Japan, meant the game had wide physical availability without requiring dedicated game stores.
