Quest for Arete is an English-language collectible card game built around elemental sorcery and one-on-one duels. Each player takes the role of a sorcerer's apprentice seeking to increase their arete, the Greek concept of excellence and virtue, by defeating opponents through strategic spell play. The starter box was designed to include two complete playable sets of approximately 200 cards combined, along with play mats, a timer, and character cards, making it accessible without additional purchases. The game was designed by Jason Kirkpatrick, Will Kirkpatrick, Sara Kirkpatrick, and Christen Pedersen, with artwork by Victor Perez Corbella and Darko Tomic. A playtest edition preceded the retail release. The game is listed on BoardGameGeek and copies appear on secondary markets, but broader distribution was limited and the publisher information is sparse in surviving records. It is rated for players aged twelve and older.
