Sack Armies is an American collectible game produced by Tyranny Games and published through Precedence Publishing, set in a fantasy world populated by goblins, elves, orcs, and similar archetypes. Its central conceit is that every element of play, including unit tokens, spells, maneuvers, and terrain tiles, comes from a cloth bag carried by each player rather than from a conventional card deck. The hexagonal tokens are rated by rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare), with a standard army capped at 40 ranks to prevent power inflation. The design emphasized spatial tactics: line of sight, movement rates, and unit placement on a variable two-dimensional battlefield gave it a more simulation-oriented feel than most CCGs of its era. Army Packs retailed at approximately $13.99 and Reinforcement Packs at $4.95. An exact release year has not been confirmed, but the game was in active publication around 2001.
