Skifidol

Skifidol is an Italian collectible card set distributed by GEDIS Edicola, the newsstand (edicola) distribution arm, in Italy. The cards were sold through Italian newsstands and feature a roster of outlandish, grotesque characters in the tradition of Garbage Pail Kids and Italy's own Sgorbions, a genre popular with Italian children in the 2000s. Individual cards are numbered and feature character names such as Ciccio Pasticcio, Donato Segato, and Marchino Cappellino, suggesting a cast of exaggerated comic personas. No publication date has been definitively confirmed, but collector trading-forum records date the GEDIS set to approximately 2008. The cards appear to be a collectible set rather than a structured battle card game, distributed at low price points through the Italian newsstand channel. In 2025 the Skifidol brand was revived under the name Skifidol Italian Brainrot with a new card game published by Officina Edicola and later Panini, though that modern release is a separate product entirely from the original GEDIS run documented here.
