The Far Wilds is a free-to-play online collectible card game developed and published by Code Collective in the USA. Rather than replicating standard one-on-one dueling, the game places units drawn from cards directly onto a randomly generated hexagonal battlefield, merging CCG deckbuilding with miniature-style positional strategy. Four primary factions anchor the card pool: Dark Legion, Elemental, Mountain Folk, and Sylvan, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses. Players can trade cards through an in-game market, exchanging gold earned through matches. An early public playtest version was reviewed in March 2009, placing the game's development in the late 2000s. The title is one of several small-studio digital CCGs from that era that failed to find a lasting commercial foothold, and its servers and associated communities are no longer active.
