The Simpsons Sammelkartenspiel [GER]

The Simpsons Sammelkartenspiel is a German-language collectible card game published by Dino Entertainment (Dino Verlag) in 2001, built around the long-running Fox animated series The Simpsons. The base set contains 211 cards, supplemented by three expansion sets: Krusty's Surf Camp (145 cards), The Simpsons Horror (145 cards), and Extreme Sports (102 cards, released in June 2004 as the final expansion). Launch products included a starter set with separate Bart and Lisa decks, along with three character decks themed around Homer Simpson, Mr. Burns, and Ned Flanders. Booster packs contained eleven cards each, including rare variants. An organized league operated through December 2004, and three German national championships were held between 2001 and 2004. Dino approached Wizards of the Coast about licensing the system when Wizards developed its own Simpsons card game, but Wizards declined, resulting in two entirely separate Simpsons CCGs existing simultaneously. Production ceased alongside the broader wind-down of Dino's licensed card game catalog.
